For me, Calvin will always be the wee boy calling over the fence to chat to Joe, even though he moved away before I saw him grow into a man.  What a perfect friend for Joe, and a perfect family to have as neighbours, I was so happy for Emma and Joe.  Calvin was Joe's first and best pal and I think of Joe and Calvin in the back seat of a car, giggling together, being normal, happy children.  These good times console me now, as he will remain forever that lovely boy.
